Douglas Walker

Douglas Walker is Albemarle's Deputy County Executive. He briefly served as interim Albemarle County executive following the resignation of Tom Foley. [1] He served for several months before Jeffrey Richardson was selected to replace Foley.

Walker was named as as Assistant County Executive for Community Services on April 1, 2013. He replaced Bryan Elliott, who retired in late 2012. [2][dead link]

Prior to being named to his Albemarle post, Walker was county administrator in Shenandoah County and has also served as city manager in Waynesboro. [2]
