Douglas Walker became interim Albemarle County executive following the resignation of Tom Foley. [1] Walker had been deputy county executive. He served for several months before Jeffrey Richardson was selected to replace Foley.
He was named as as Assistant County Executive for Community Services on April 1, 2013. He replaced Bryan Elliott, who retired in late 2012. [2]
