Debora Collins is Deputy Superintendent of Albemarle County Public Schools.
Collins joined Albemarle County Public Schools as a sixth-grade math teacher and later served as a math coordinator for grades K-12. She was principal of Red Hill Elementary School (1996-2001), and Yancey Elementary (2001-2004). She also was principal of Greenbrier Elementary School in Charlottesville.
Prior to her appointment as Executive Director of Student Learning, she served as Albemarle County’s Assistant Director of Federal Programs, Grants and Adult Education; Director of Elementary Education; and Director of K-12 Education.
Collins received her bachelor's degree in Education from Virginia Tech and her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia.[1]
