Biography
Dave Norris is a candidate for re-election for Charlottesville City Council in the election on November 3, 2009. He is currently the Mayor of Charlottesville and was elected in 2008. Dave Norris currently works as Executive Director of PACEM, an interfaith ministry for the homeless; he previously was employed as the Associate Director of Madison House and the Interim Director of PHAR (the Public Housing Association of Residents). Dave is the former Chairman of the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. For his extensive record of leadership and service to the Charlottesville community, Dave was named one of the "Distinguished Dozen" by the Charlottesville Daily Progress for 2005. He is also the founder of the Charlottesville Vegetarian Festival. He lives in Belmont with his children Eli, age 12 and Chloe, age 9.[1]
