Daniel Jordan

Daniel Jordan is a former leader of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation who was granted the 2008 Paul Goodloe McIntire Citizenship Award by the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce. [1] His wife Lou also received the award.

Biography

Jordan is a native of Mis­sis­sip­pi­ and served in the United States Army In­fantry rising to the level of lieutenant. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Uni­versity of Mis­sis­sippi before moving to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia where he received a Ph.D. in history in 1970.

He headed the Thomas Jefferson Foundation from 1985 to 2008. [2]
