Cynthia Neff Neff serves on the Steering Committee of the Albemarle County Democratic Party[1] and has run for various elected office.
Neff moved to Albemarle County in 2006 after retiring from IBM[1].
Neff is a member of the Board of Directors for Advocates for a Sustainable Albemarle Population and the AIDS/HIV Services Group, the advisory council of the Legal Aid Justice Center and is co-chair of the national board for GenderPAC. Cynthia volunteers as a CASA and does legal research at the Legal Aid Justice Center for the Virginia Incarcerated Persons project. [1].
2011 election
On June 14, Neff announced that she would seek the Democratic nomination for the Rivanna seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.[2] She is running against incumbent Kenneth C. Boyd, a Republican, who had held the seat for three terms.
Election history
In 2009 Neff was the Democratic candidate for the 58th Virginia House of Delegates seat against incumbent Delegate Rob Bell. Neff is a candidate in 2011 for the Rivanna Magisterial District's seat on the Board of Supervisors[3]
