CVille Pie Fest is an annual pie contest celebrating the wonder that is pie. The event began in 2008 when local bloggers Marijean Jaggers and Brian Geiger each claimed via their twitter feeds to be the area's best pie baker. To settle the matter, they presented their best creations at an event called Cvillepiedown which was held in May 2009. Geiger won with both his bourbon cream pie and double strawberry open-faced pie. The pie craze continued with a fall festival held at the Crozet Mudhouse in which bakers in the greater community were invited to participate. Kathy Banner won with a lemon chiffon pie.

In 2010, the event was held at The Haven and raised $500 for PACEM[1].
