Development in the Albemarle County's Entrance Corridors is subject to the design review of the Architectural Board of Review.


According to the County's website, entrance corridors consist of:

  • All parcels of land (to the full depth of the parcel), in existence on 10/30/90, which are contiguous to the rights-of-way of a County road or highway designated in Section 30.6.2b of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance as an "entrance corridor street"; or
  • All parcels of land that are located within five hundred (500) feet of the right-of-way of a County road or highway designated in Section 30.6.2b of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance as an "entrance corridor street."[1]
