Community Attention Foster Families formed in July 1, 2009 when two groups that provided similar services merged. Tri Area Foster Families and Community Action's Family Group Homes program decided to join forces. The agency recruits, trains and supports foster parents and foster children throughout the area. Community Action is a division of the Department of Social Services.

As of 2010, there are 82 children who have been placed through this program.[1]
