The Commonwealth Engineering Design Academies is a laboratory school partnership with Charlottesville City Schools, Albemarle County Public Schools, the University of Virginia’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and UVa’s Curry School of Education. The partnership links City and County classrooms and teachers with UVa via video, which allows UVa faulty and students to work with both students and teachers, and to develop curriculum[1].

Curriculum

The design academies are using advanced manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing, to teach science concepts.
