The Commission on Children and Families was a joint group of Charlottesville and Albemarle officials that sought to improve services for youth and families in the region. It lasted from 1997 to 2012. Albemarle County pulled its funding as of July 1, 2013. The commission's sole employee joined the city's Department of Human Services. [1]

The director of the agency in November 2013 was Saphira Baker. [2]
