CoderDojo is a summer computer-programming academy run by Albemarle County Public Schools[1]. ACPS ran their first CoderDojo for 1 week in the summer of 2012. In the summer of 2013, the program expanded to 800 students over 3 weeks.

History

CoderDojo originated in Cork, Ireland in 2011 as a computer programming club to teach young people about coding, developing games, websites, apps, and more.
