City Walk is a 300-unit, market-rate residential development in Charlottesville constructed just north of the CSX railroad tracks between the area of 10th Street Northeast and Carlton Road.[1] The project was planned and developed by Coran Capshaw's Riverbend Development and was developed by-right.
About
The development is being done by-right and the final site plan has been approved.[2] It includes one five-story building with two inner courtyards, three smaller, three-story buildings, and a parking deck.[1]
Construction began in 2012. An Atlanta company, Metzger & Company, has been hired to do the work. [3]
The original site plan also depicted at least one nine-story building, but that was later scaled back.[4]
Water Street will be extended as part of the project and a multiuse trail will be built.[3]
