Chubby's Restaurant was a restaurant operating on the east end of the Charlottesville Downtown Mall in the early 90's. On July 16, 1991, City Council denied a request for an outdoor cafe due to concerns by the building owner, who did not want that use. There was also a concern the cafe would be within the boundaries of the space allotted for Fridays After Five.
