The Charlottesville Derby Dames is a flat-track women's roller derby team that used to holds its "bouts" at the Main Street Arena on the Downtown Mall and at Augusta Expoland in Fishersville.

In non-pandemic times, The Dames' regular season runs from mid-January to mid-November each year.

The non-profit organization donates a portion of the proceeds from each bout to local charities. The Dames' mission is to promote sportsmanship and community by providing an alternative form of fitness and entertainment in the form of roller derby with the purpose of empowering women and their physical, mental, and social health.

The team was founded in 2007 and has grown from a handful of members to over 75 members in 2011.

In January 2012, the team was accepted into the Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Association (WFTDA) organization as an Apprentice League. After meeting necessary requirements, the team will eventually be accepted into WFTDA as a member organization. [1] On April 18, 2011, the City Council proclaimed the Derby Dames as the city's official roller derby team. [2]

There is a customized pinball game for the Derby Games that is playable at Decades Arcade. [3]
