The Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS® (CAAR) is a trade association for real estate professionals in the Charlottesville area (including the City of Charlottesville and the Counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson.) CAAR also publishes the Real Estate Weekly.

Political activity
CAAR publicly endorses candidates for local office, and directs resultant contributions from the Realtors Political Action Committee of Virginia to their campaigns.
2009 endorsements
In 2009 CAAR endorsed Rodney Thomas (R) for the Rio seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, and Duane Snow for the Samuel Miller District seat. In Charlottesville, CAAR endorsed Dave Norris (D) and Kristin Szakos (D) for the Charlottesville City Council[1][2].
