The Charlottesville-Albemarle Bar Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the legal profession in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.

History

Created the order, "Patriarchs of the Bar" in 1962.[1] The first member was William F. Long who was inducted in recognition of his 65 years of law practice in Charlottesville. [1]

One long-time Secretary-Treasurer was Ellen Nash, who was elected to the position 15 times. [2]
