Charlotte Staples Riddick (May 1, 1924 - October 19, 2018), a lifelong Charlottesville resident who became the city’s first general registrar in 1971.[1]

Riddick was a member of the first graduating class of Charlottesville’s Lane High School and continued her education at Mary Washington College.
