Charles F. Witt, Jr. (August 8, 1935 - March 2, 2012) was born in Crozet and raised in Greenwood. He was a school principal at the old Crozet Elementary School from 1966 to 1990 when that facility was closed as a public school. Witt graduated from the University of Virginia in 1956. He passed away March 2, 2012.[1][2]
