Carol M. Zimorski taught students in the Charlottesville City Schools at Johnson Elementary School, Burnley-Moran Elementary School, and Charlottesville High School, and also served in various administrative capacities, retiring as the Director of Special Education and Student Services in 2005 with thirty-two years of service to the city school system. She is currently the President/Secretary of the Charlottesville Branch of NGA, Inc. [1]

Carol (Mrs. Thomas Zimorski) is a mother of two daughters who attended Jackson-Via Elementary School for several years before transferring to the Albemarle County system and eventually graduating from the University of Virginia.
Staying busy teaching homebound students, Mrs. Zimorski also worked in Admissions at UVa for five years as an applications reader. Baking, sewing, and knitting are among her favorite activities and she also volunteers with the Book Baskets Program and is President of the Charlottesville Branch of Needlework Guild Association (NGA) which provides new winter clothing to local schools and local social agencies. Mrs. Zimorski also helped to restore the chairs in the Jackson-Via School library.[2]
