CSX Transportation is a railway company that operates in the Eastern United States. It previously owned a rail line that runs parallel to the Downtown Mall and under the Belmont Bridge, before the track was purchased by the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority in 2021.[1] CSX is the successor to the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway.
