Brian Wimer is the Primary Instigator for Amoeba Films, a film production company located in Downtown Charlottesville, VA. He has written, directed and produced three feature films and won 35 independent film awards.

Feature films: DANGER.ZOMBIES.RUN. (2010) A philosophical zombie comedy. Official Selection of the 2010 Virginia Film Festival. MANTRA (2009) A Buddhist horror film. Best Feature Film 2009 Fright Night Film Festival. EAT ME: THE MUSICAL (2009) A collaboration with punk rock band The Falsies.

Wimer has also shot and directed music videos for: Duran Duran, The Sons of Bill, Robert Jospe, Astronomers, Straight Punch to the Crotch, We Are Star Children, Beleza Brazil and the Anatomy of Frank.

In 2010, Wimer appeared in the film LAKE EFFECTS, with Sean Patrick Flanery, Ben Savage and Richard Moll.

Wimer is an Associate Apparatchik of the Filmmakers Republik, an egalitarian collaborative of cinema-centric professionals in Central Virginia.
