Brian Pinkston is a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the Charlottesville City Council in the June 11, 2019 primary. [1] He made his formal announcement on February 6 at the Haven. [2]

Biography
Pinkston is a project manager at the University of Virginia. His job title is Associate Director for Planning, Project Services, and Facilities Management. [3]
He grew up in Georgia and graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1994. He received a master’s degree from Biola University in Los Angeles in 2004 and completed a doctorate in philosophy at UVa in 2012. He formerly served as chair of the board of directors of the Region Ten Community Services Board.
