Blake Caravati is the owner of Vector Construction and serves on the board of Piedmont Council for the Arts and Offender Aid and Restoration. [1].

Caravati served on City Council from 1999 to 2006 and was Mayor of Charlottesville from 2000 to 2002.

On September 9, 2011 Caravati was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor assault against his wife.[1][2] A special prosecutor has been appointed and the case will go back to court in October. [3]


Meadowcreek Parkway

Caravati has described himself as the "swing vote" on the Meadowcreek Parkway[4].

"I had campaigned against it-- then changed my mind as an elected official," Caravati said.
