Development history

The project was originally developed by Andrew Baldwin who sought rezoning to a planned unit development. The Charlottesville Planning Commission voted 6-0 to recommend denial in February 2013 but deadlocked 3-3 on a revised submission. City Council voted 3-2 to approve the rezoning and critical slopes waiver in May 2013. [1] The Councilors who votes for the project were Dave Norris, Satyendra Huja and Kristin Szakos. The no votes were from Kathy Galvin and Dede Smith. [2]
