Bel Rio was an infamous[who?] restaurant located in Charlottesville's Belmont neighborhood.

Opened in September 2008, Bel Rio closed in 2010 following allegations of fraud and controversy over the restaurant's gradual evolution into a nightclub. The primary owner, James Baldi, left town and is missing. On December 17, 2010, Judge Edward L. Hogshire ruled that Baldi owes over $45,000 in damages to his investors[1].
