Ashby Johnson has been the principal of Jack Jouett Middle School since the summer of 2019. [1]
History
Johnson attended Jack Jouett Middle School as a student. She also taught there early in her career. Johnson had been assistant principal when she was promoted. [1]
She graduated from James Madison University and then went to Mary Baldwin, where she earned a Master of Arts in Teaching. She began her education career as an instructional assistant at Greer Elementary School. She served as a Language Arts teacher and a special education teacher at Sutherland Middle School before joining Jouett as an intervention teacher, serving for seven years during the time when the school earned AVID demonstration school status.
