Biographical Information

Andrew Baxter was the chief of the Charlottesville Fire Department from 2015 to 2020. [1]

On June 11, 2020, Charlottesville fire chief Andrew Baxter resigned. In a letter to fire department staff, Baxter wrote, “my values and professional ethics will not allow me to continue to work in the current leadership environment.” City Manager Tarron Richardson named Emily Pelliccia as interim Charlottesville fire chief.[2]
