Anderson McClure is a restaurant owner who co-owns West Main Restaurant and The Virginian (both on West Main Street) with his brother, Pat McClure.[1] He also owns the Citizen Burger Bar on the Downtown Mall.[2]

Controversy

Along with his brother Pat McClure, Anderson used to co-own the restaurant Jaberwoke on The Corner. In 2007, UVa students and community members accused McClure of using a dress code to keep African Americans out. McClure said he was responding to poorly-behaved customers who often wore the same types of clothing; he later suspended the dress code altogether.[1]
