Albert "Al" C. Weed II founded Nelson County's Mountain Cove Vineyards in 1973.[1]

In 2004, Al Weed challenged Virgil Goode (R-5th) in the election for the 5th district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Community Service

Al Weed served as a member of the Board of Directors of Advocates for a Sustainable Albemarle Population and during that period was the organization's Vice President.[2]
