999 Rio Road is the project name for a proposed development at 999 Rio Road. Developer Nicole Scro is behind the project.

An initial submission met with opposition from some in surrounding neighborhoods. The Planning Commission approved the project sometime in 2019, but the Albemarle Board of Supervisors did not appear ready to approve so Scro asked for a deferral.

Scro took a revised project to the Places29-Rio Community Advisory Committee on December 5, 2019. The new version would feature a maximum of 28 units and 6,000 square feet of non-commercial uses. This would require a rezoning from the R-4 district to the Neighborhood Model District zoning. [1]
