512-514 West Main Street, known as the Hartnagle-Witt House, is a contributing structure in the West Main Architectural Design Review District in Charlottesville. It is also the home of the Blue Moon Diner. The prospective owner of the property is seeking a demolition permit. [1] The building will be incorporated into the Six Hundred West Main.
A facade was placed on the front of the building around 1951 to create space for a diner. This business was called the Waffle Shop until becoming The Blue Moon Diner. For a brief time in the mid-2000's the structure was home to Harvest Moon Catering. [citation needed]
