Previous structures

The site was formerly the site of Huntington Dry Goods company. City Council authorized demolition of that structure in October 1953. [1]

Current structure

The building was constructed in 1955 and originally housed a department store. [2]

Jefferson National Bank & Trust Co. bought the space and used it as an operations center. Wachovia eventually acquired Jefferson National Bank. [2]

In 1998, SNL Financial purchased the building and renovated it at a cost of about $2 million, becoming the SNL headquarters. Around five years later, in August 2003, SNL fully vacated the building. [2] On August 6, 2005, SNL sold the building to 321-323 E. Main St. LLC, for $2.8 million.[3]

It is currently[when?] home to a multiple story building with several tenants.[citation needed]
