The 250 Bypass Commuter Trail is a pedestrian and cyclist route under construction that will allow travel next to the U.S. Route 250 Bypass through Charlottesville.[1] Property for the trail has been acquired and the project were be put out for construction bids in November 2011 and estimated construction completion is May 2012. [2]

Funding
The project was funded in part through a $414,000 transportation enhancement grant from the Virginia Department of Transportation. [3]
