The 250 Bypass Commuter Trail is a bike route under construction that will allow pedestrians and cyclists to travel safely next to the U.S. 250 Bypass through Charlottesville. [1]Property for the trail has been acquired and the project were be put out for construction bids in November 2011 and estimated construction completion is May 2012. [2]
The project was funded in part through a $414,000 transportation enhancement grant from the Virginia Department of Transportation. [3]
