  • July 15 – Last payday for Charlottesville’s former police chief Alfred S. Thomas Jr who has remained on city payroll since stepping down in December 2017. Thomas’ annual salary is $134,514. [7]

  • Tuesday, June 11 – the 2019 election Primary Elections were held, polls were open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • November 5 – November General Elections (State Senate, State House, School boards, Municipal government). Polling hours: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. see: 2019 election
