The general election for 2017 will be held on November 3. Two seats for Charlottesville City Council are up for election as are three seats on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.
Charlottesville
City Council
The terms of Councilors Bob Fenwick and Kristin Szakos expire at the end of 2017. Szakos is not seeking a third term. [1]
The date of the Democratic primary is not yet known.
School Board
The Charlottesville School Board seats held by Ned Michie, Leah Puryear and Juandiego Wade are up for election in 2017.
Albemarle County
Board of Supervisors
In Albemarle County, the Jack Jouett, Rio and Samuel Miller magisterial seats were up for re-election. Neither Diantha McKeel, Brad Sheffield or Liz Palmer has indicated their plans.
School Board
The Albemarle County School Board seats held by Kate Acuff (Jack Jouett), Pam Moynihan (Rio) and Graham Paige (Samuel Miller) expire at the end of 2017.
