On May 4, 2004 Charlottesville held elections for three seats on the City Council.

(As of July 19, 2004) City Code Sec. 2-35. - Election of city council at November general election: The election for the three (3) city council seats filled by the council election of May, 2004 shall be held in November, 2007 and every four (4) years thereafter;[1]
