- September 29 – First game of the 1906 college football season for the University of Virginia. Home game held at Madison Hall Field, Virginia won against St. John's College (11–0).
- November 29 – Final game of the college football season for the University of Virginia. In 1906 the Virginia Orange and Blue football team represented the University of Virginia as an independent during the 1906 college football season. Led by William "King" Cutler Cole in his second and final season as head coach, the Orange and Blue compiled a record of 7–2–2.
