Notable events
- 1929 – Members of the club vote 64 to 5 vote to endorse municipal bond issue for a new primary school, and extension of sewer on Market Street. [2]
- 1944 – Members of the club endorse a yes vote in the upcoming December 12 referendum on a $500,000 bond issue to construct a dam on the Moormans River [3]
Notable members
- In 1922, Guy Forrest Via was the second president.
- James H. Lindsay (1862-1933), founder and publisher of The Daily Progress, was an active member of the club.
