Yan Huiqing (April 2, 1877 – May 24, 1950) was a Chinese diplomat and politician who successively worked under the Qing dynasty, the Republic of China, and the People's Republic of China, most-notably serving as the acting president of the ROC for a brief time in 1926. A native of Shanghai, he studied political science at the University of Virginia, where he became the first-ever international student to graduate with a bachelor's degree. Yen House, one of the constituent residential buildings of UVA's International Residential College, was renamed after Huiqing in 2017.[1]
