William McKinley "Bill" Harris

William McKinley "Bill" Harris was the founding Dean of the Afro-American Affairs Office at the University of Virginia, an entity created to promote the welfare of Black students. Harris served in that position from August 1976 to 1981. [1]
Harris is also the subject of a painting made by Charlottesville artists Frances Brand.
