William Antholis

William Antholis is the incoming director of the Miller Center of Public Affairs. He is currently managing director of the Brookings Institution. [1]

Background

Antholis is the author of Inside Out India and China: Local Politics Go Global which looks at how country-sized provinces and states in the world’s two biggest nations are increasingly becoming global players.

From 1995 to 1999, Dr.Antholis served in President Bill Clinton's administration. He earned his Ph.D. from Yale University in politics (1993), and his B.A. from the University of Virginia in government and foreign affairs (1986). He is married to Kristen Suokko and has two daughters.
