WUVA was an urban contemporary radio station licensed to the University of Virginia that operated on 92.7 FM. [1] However the station was sold to the Charlottesville Radio Group in 2017 for $1.65 million. [2] The station now operates as WCVL.

The station began broadcasting as a student-station in 1947 and the first director was Martin B. Hiden Jr. [3] Hiden resigned after less than a year in part due to debts incurred by the station.
