The WALK Program is an alternative learning initiative run by Charlottesville City Schools that is aimed at assisting students who are struggling to meet graduation requirements[1]. The majority of WALK students attend Charlottesville High School full-time, but are at-risk of failing required courses or dropping out of school. In December 2013, WALK extended its hours to serve students from 4:30-7pm, Tuesday-Thursday[2].
