Virginia Walker Webb and her husband William C. Webb were one of the first residents of the Belmont-Carlton neighborhood after it was developed by the Belmont Land Company. [1]

Webb and her husband bought a triangular-shaped lot at what is now 1001 Belmont Avenue in 1894. Their son was Walker Webb. [1]
