References
Thanks for your contributions! Wanted to point out that we installed a new-ish "Citation Dropdown" that can be helpful in adding full citations for some common references (Daily Progress, Charlottesville Tomorrow, etc), if you have time and interest! This is my first use of a discussion - hope this is the way to leave my reply. I always appreciate recommendations...assuming the citation drop-down feature you suggested is related "Visual Editor"? I will explore how to activate or turn it on. Best Regards, user: jmh6d Jmh6d (talk) 14:29, 3 January 2019 (EST) or maybe it is 5 tildens to leave my signature? 14:29, 3 January 2019 (EST) or not.

I'm not clear what you're referencing in your previous message -- did I re-add some content that you'd created and removed? I don't remember doing that. Philvarner (talk) 14:34, 9 November 2020 (EST) philvarner

New Person Question
Hi, I'm new. I was trying to create a template (in my sandbox page for testing) for your all's radio station pages, which I wanted to improve. It keeps telling me "Syntax error in JSON." and I don't know what that means. I see you do work on templates, can you help? Thanks! - DudeFromVA (talk) 19:56, 29 July 2023 (EDT)
- Greetings and welcome! Examples of "syntax errors" are missing a comma or a quotation mark, or misspelling a word. My work with templates is limited. Since the Cvillepedia site uses the MediaWiki software > review the "Help - Mediawiki" link on Cvillepedia's Main page OR search for other sites such as: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Category:Book:MediaWiki_User_Guide Jmh6d (talk) 11:23, 30 July 2023 (EDT)

Inquiry on Categories
Hey Jmh6d, seeing as I am still very much learning how to utilize many of the more advanced Mediawiki functions, I was hoping you might be able to help me with something. Would you be able to create a new category for all individuals who have died via capital punishment? As of right now, the articles I envision belonging to this category are those on Aaron, Lewis McWane, Hudson Sprouse, Peter and Leander, and J. Samuel McCue (although I am almost certain that other articles related to this topic exist that I am not yet aware of and that would fit right into this category).
I of course completely understand if you will be too busy in the weeks to come to effect this; in any case, it is far from a pressing matter. Thank you very much for the countless hours of enjoyable reading on this site that you have provided me these past months. --Welder20
- Greetings Welder20, I created two new categories...see J. Samuel McCue. Let me know if they are not useful or not what you were envisioning. ~ Jmh6d (talk) 00:50, 24 August 2023 (EDT)
Thank you very much for doing this, Jmh6d! The category you created labeled "Capital Punishment in Virginia" is exactly what I was hoping for. If you would be able to add the aforementioned articles (as well as any additional ones you may know of that qualify for inclusion) to join J. Samuel McCue in this category, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you again! --Welder20
A Nonurgent Request
Hello again Jmh6d, I hope to once more ask for your aid in an advanced Mediawiki function. For the article on the Territorial evolution of Albemarle County, I was hoping to create a gallery consisting of eight images that depict the development of new counties within Virginia from 1691 to 1780. I uploaded the requisite images and have attempted to utilize the proper template for creating a gallery from code I found online, but have thus far been unsuccessful. Whenever you may have spare time in the weeks to come, would you potentially be able to help me with this matter? Thank you as always for your time and energy. --Welder20
- Greetings Welder20, Sorry, I was not able to troubleshoot your template. My knowledge of coding is limited, so I took your images and created a new image gallery. Let me know if it is not what you were hoping to see. ~ Jmh6d (talk) 15:08, 1 September 2023 (EDT)
This Day in History
Sorry for the long delay just saw your message, but the code provided doesn't seem to work -- (Template:On this day) just produces an empty `[[]]` for the list of events. I'd be happy to add it if we can tweak it to function correctly!
Meekohi (talk) 16:08, 24 June 2024 (EDT)
- No problem with the delay. The code lines function correctly when inserted into a copy of the "Main Page" re-named Sandbox:Front Page. Using the "Edit Source Tab", please see the following lines in Sandbox:Front Page:
