UBikes is a bike-sharing service operated by the University of Virginia.
Study on the project began after an exploratory grant was received from the Virginia Department of Transportation. The 100-bike project and its 13 stands were originally expected to go live in the spring of 2013.
In its third year of operation, the program does not have any stations in downtown Charlottesville.
