The Trump Winery is an Albemarle County winery.

The winery was opened in 1999 as Kluge Estate Winery and Vineyards by Patricia Kluge. [1] It closed in 2010, with no one willing to bid the opening $19 million price for the 907 acre property.[2]

Real estate mogul and television reality star Donald Trump expressed interest in purchasing the property and later did so.[3] and Trump on October 4, 2011 celebrated the grand reopening of the winery, which was rebranded with his name.[4][5]

In the summer of 2013, Trump began the process of getting a special use permit to install a golf course at the property. However, the property is under conservation easement. [6] The Virginia Outdoors Foundation has stated they do not believe the golf course will be consistent with the terms of the easement. [7]

Eric Trump oversees everything from winemaking and marketing to global distribution and sales. In 2013, Wine Enthusiast awarded Eric with its “Rising Star of the Year” Award.[8]

Kerry Woolard is responsible for overseeing all operations for the nearly 1,300-acre estate, world-class winery, vineyard, hotel, and event facilities.[8] Jonathan Wheeler leads the award-winning sparkling, white, and red wine programs and has been directly responsible for numerous 90+ point scores with Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and James Suckling, countless best-in-class designations, and internationally awarded gold medals. Jonathan draws on his historical knowledge of the estate having worked with the grapes since 2006. He also brings expertise gained from working in Sonoma and Monterey, California, Marlborough, New Zealand, and his home in the Finger Lakes of New York.[8]

Trump Winery is located at 3550 Blenheim Road
