The Toy Lift is an annual toy collection event organized by the Kids Lift Foundation. The Toy Lift provides toys to children from newborn through 8th grade in Charlottesville and the Counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Nelson, and Orange[1].

The event was first held in 1989. The most recent iteration of the Toy Lift collected over 10,500 toys, 7,000 books[2] and reached over 3,500 kids[3].

Selection of children

All recipient children must be sponsored by a school, requiring a recommendation from a school counselor or other official for a child to qualify[1].
